Our Story

What began as a simple “It’s a girl!” sign announcing the birth of Jenny’s daughter in 2009 has grown into Citrus Daisy - a creative studio that has been bringing color and joy to the South Shore community for over a decade.

After graduating from Villanova University with a degree in accounting, Jenny’s career path was anything but linear. She explored roles in finance, commercial real estate, internet consulting, and merchandising while searching for work that felt both meaningful and creative. Inspired by motherhood and her growing love of making things by hand, Jenny eventually took a leap of faith - stepping away from a graduate program in Special Education to pursue Citrus Daisy full-time.

With a nearly equal balance of right- and left-brain thinking, Jenny brings both an analytical eye and a playful sense of experimentation to her work. What began with hand-lettered wooden signs has expanded over time into a broader creative practice that now includes canvas work, paper goods, and ongoing exploration across different mediums — all rooted in color, optimism, and everyday expression.

Citrus Daisy has also become a place where creativity is shared. Over the years, local moms and high school and college students have contributed their energy and talent to the studio, helping create artwork, assist customers, and bring the shop to life.

Jenny’s husband, Kevin — affectionately known as “Mr. Daisy” — is a talented fine artist himself and has been part of the Citrus Daisy journey from the beginning. Together, they are raising their son, Petey, and their daughter Annie, who is blind and remains the inspiration behind it all.

citrus daisy about us, our story, citrus daisy family

The name Citrus Daisy came from two things that bring Jenny joy: citrus colors and daisies. The name represents the goal for her company: spreading happiness through the simplicity of a word and making people smile. Her signs evoke emotion and uplift and make us happy.

Over the years, customers have become friends and a part of our Citrus Daisy family. There is just something about the historic walls of our old barn that provides the space to share about our lives and create a community. Oh, and shop too! We often invite other artists and makers into the barn to sell their creations.

Community Support

Since our humble beginnings in 2010, we’ve made it a priority to incorporate a charitable element into our business. Initially, we donated a percentage of sales from select signs to a few chosen charities. As Citrus Daisy grew and donation requests increased, we shifted to donating signs directly to support as many causes as possible. If you'd like us to contribute a sign to support your cause, please reach out—we’d love to help!
